Women's Basketball Heads to Lafayette on Tuesday

What You Need to Know
- Rider hits the road for the first of three straight games outside of Lawrenceville on Tuesday evening with a 7:00 pm tip versus Lafayette. Both the Broncs and the Leopards are in search of their first win this season.

- The game is the fourth of four straight against teams from the Patriot League for the Broncs to start the season. In the opener, Bucknell edged Rider in Lawrenceville, On November 12, Navy upended the Broncs in Annapolis and last time out Holy Cross handled Rider at Alumni Gym.

- Lafayette returns home after two straight road games. Last time out, the Leopards fell to Penn, 55-42. The team has also dropped games to St. Peter's in Jersey City and La Salle at home. The contest is the second this season against MAAC opponent. Lafayette has lost two straight versus teams from the MAAC. Senior guard Anna Ptasinski made her season debut versus Penn for the Leopards and she scored 15 points thanks to knocking down all five of her attempts from three-point range. Freshman forward Natalie Kucowski is other Leopard averaging in double figures, netting over 12 points per game. Kucowski is averaging a double-double, grabbing 11 boards per contest as well for Lafayette. As a team, Lafayette is shooting just over 32 percent from the field and just 56 percent from the free-throw line. The Leopards are pulling down 40 rebounds a game and dishing out 10 assists per contest.

- Rider and Lafayette are meeting for the 34th time. The Leopards lead the all-time series, 22-11, but the Broncs have had the edge of late thanks to scoring a 76-58 victory versus Lafayette in Lawrenceville last November. The first meeting between the two teams came during the 1973-74 campaign.

- Rider scored a 76-58 victory at home versus Lafayette last season. In the game, Stella Johnson set a program single-game record with eight steals, while adding nine points, four rebounds and three assists.

- Rider Head Coach Lynn Milligan has three wins against Lafayette. That is tied for her highest total against non-conference opponents. Milligan has also earned three victories against St. Francis Brooklyn.

- In her third collegiate game, freshman guard Jaiden Morris set new career-high in points (11), rebounds (6), steals (3), minutes played (24) and free throws made (4) last time out versus Holy Cross. She is averaging nine point per game off the bench for the Broncs in 2017-18.

- Rider took a season-high 26 free-throw attempts versus Holy Cross last Saturday. The Broncs hit 20-of-26 (76.9 %) from the charity stripe. In the first two games combined, Rider was 18-of-31. Kamila Hoskova knocked down 11-of-12 attempts from the foul line against the Crusaders. Both marks were new career-bests. This season, she is 19-of-21 from the line and the rest of the team is 19-of-36.

- Hoskova currently ranks third in Rider history in free-throw shooting percentage. She is just the third player in program history to knock down over 80 percent of her shots from the charity stripe. She has hit 196-of-244 attempts. She is also sixth in Rider history in career field goal percentage (44.3%). She is also tied for third in three-point field goal percentage (34.3%). She has played in 95 games for the Broncs in her career and has scored 848 points.
